On the evening of January 8 2015, the Hartbeespoort Police Service and Community Policing Forum held a meeting as well. At this meeting, the SAPS, CPF, Plotwag and other role-players presented their various responses and intended plans to address the carnage in the Hartbeespoort jurisdiction. Senior representatives of numerous organizations and political parties contributed. In spite of their best intentions, the community staged a walk-out.

Community members were quick to express dissatisfaction with service, made allegations about corruption and dereliction of duty.

LET'S FIGHT CRIME TOGETHER!
Web Site goes live!

15 FEBRUARY 2015

Since the Name Reservation was Approved, we started to work on our Primary Public Interface.

We wanted the web-site to represent our attitude and our approach, so we adopted a "fighting stance" in branding and presentation.

Our members will instintively know that we intend to stand up and fight for them, to face any enemy or attacker and to act decisively and effectively.

In spite of this, we want to ensure that our image and approach remains professional, courteous, friendsly and approachable. We are here for the community, after all.

Feedback Meeting

18 FEBRUARY 2015

After promising feedback from the community and the HOF meeting of 7 January 2015, we have been working diligently to make Harties Community Crime Watch a reality. We egistered our name, opened our bank account and established our brand with enthusiasm.

Community members then attended our community feedback session at the HIF meeting of 18 February 2015 at the Dutch Reformed Church on Marais Street, Schoemansville.

The response was inspiring, to say the least. The community members in attendance asked us to proceed and to make Harties Watch CrimeWatch a reality. We have already started processes and expect to kick off by 1 April 2015.
